Youth & New Immigrants
 Enterprise Development Program
(YEDP)

In recognition of a huge need, in the Ontario African-Canadian Diaspora community to get unemployed young people engaged, ICAfrica, as an extension of our work in Africa, is offering a robust Youth Enterprise Development Program (YEDP) which coaches, mentors and guides the Youth and new immigrants into starting and successfully operating their own small businesses in Ontario. We plan to take the program across Canada. This program will cultivate an enterprising culture amongst the youth by providing them with relevant information about the business horizons in their respective economic regions in Canada. It will provide appropriate training, hands-on coaching and help participants through the processes of identifying their best-fit-in business skills and suitable types of ventures. As they get ready to start their businesses, we assist them with developing business plans and accessing financing. On continuous bases, following the start of their businesses, we offer mentorship of experienced entrepreneurs through our local partners, as long as it is required, to enable the new entrepreneurs settle comfortably into their ventures.
